KINDRED STUDIOS

Kindred Studios brings together a very diverse group of talented artists and makers, each of whom have been chosen for their distinct expression and total commitment to their practice. Founder, Angelique Schmitt, describes the Kindred community as a creative coral reef which needs nourishing and protecting. “For art to continue to be relevant and to survive, it needs to give voice to many communities, each with their own approaches and aesthetic sensibilities.”

Kindred's biannual Open Studios events showcase the work of their artists and makers, transforming the space into a lively hub of exhibitions, workshops, performances, and interactive experiences.
